I loved loved loved this tool! It helped me discover the nasty monster living in my ear ? sorry for the disgusting photo but it’s proof it does beyond what expected

  2. Muna Abdi

The camera is very clear. It helped me clean the wax in my nephew’s ears, and it looked clear. I loved the fact that I can video record it on my phone or take photos and share it with the little boy. He loved it and was very calm and excited to know that cleaning his ears after a shower is not a painful experience. He was interested to see the inside view of his ears before and after cleaning them, this was a priceless lifetime education!!! Also, I wanted to be careful with his ear canal not to hurt him so I was slow going into this sensitive area, and I would not be able to do so without this amazing device!

I have always had trouble removing the wax from my ears. I just purchased and used the Softula Earwax Removal Kit, and was impressed. The software is easy to download to your phone, and the video quality is excellent, which provides a clear view to remove the wax from your ears utilizing the small spoons provided. I would recommend this to anyone who struggles to keep their ears clean from wax buildup.

I am very happy with this tool with the ability to inspect my ear canal with out the wait to see a doctor for something really simple. I wear hearing aids its been very helpful to check for iteration and wax build up. I am very happy with the purchase and the WiFi app. Also I use it to check out my teeth. Thank Here are 2 picture one of the scope and other beginning of ear canal shows fine hair which is great.

This thing is amazing. When I felt something strange in my ear, I panicked because I didn’t want to go to the doctor during COVID to have it checked out. I ordered this thing, and I’m so happy I did. We discovered a massive cat hair in my ear and were able to scoop it out with the attachments. Cheaper and safer than a doctor’s visit, and I’m so grateful for this product!

This tool is very easy to use and has a good camera on it to help me clean out my ears. It also has a long battery life and it charges super quick. I give it 5 stars and I would buy it again!

I had two concerns when buying this otoscope. Would it work? And would I be able to use it on my own ears? I’m reporting an unqualified “Yes!” to both questions. The App easily linked my iPhone 7, using WiFi, to this camera otoscope. I initially very carefully probed/examined my own ears to see what I would see. The lights worked well. The probe worked well. It all works. It’s quite simple, actually. A pen sized tool with tiny camera and tiny lights on the tip that can be gently inserted DIY without any assistance into the ear canal to see what’s what. I went to an EENT a year ago, but in America, that required a 3-month wait for an appointment with an MD, so I agreed to see the PA instead. Same cost for the 10-minute visit. $150. I never did get to see the MD. Unqualified inexperienced questionable outcome from the young PA. At least now, with this $33 otoscope, I know what my ear canals look like. I was pre-med. Does that qualify me as a PA? If only medical doctors were readily accessible and available to participate in preventive health care. Instead we have corporate greed dictating health care with excessive monopolistic pricing. Often, the pricing is undiscoverable and undisclosed until months after the service has been rendered. The system is broken. That’s why DIY devices like this are all the more valuable in today’s world. Highly recommended otoscope. It just works. Oh, and after self-exam, I attached the spoon and gently, carefully removed a lot of wax thereby improving my overall hearing and health. Cheers!

I just received the shipment of this tool from Amazon. I downloaded the app, connected via WifI on my phone, and proceeded to see how it works. Holding my phone in one hand and the otoscope in the other, I saw into my ear canal (displayed on my phone). To my surprise, I saw some very dark brown wax in my ear canal. I also saw my eardrum, which I’ve never seen before.

I then attached the clear spoon to the end of the otoscope and proceeded to see if I could hook the wax with the spoon. It was a little tricky to manipulate the spoon to the wax, but out came a big, dark brown thing the size of a pea! It must’ve been blocking a significant amount of sound. This is after I used earwax cleaning drops a couple of days ago. Those apparently didn’t do anything. I kept trying to get every last bit of wax off the walls. I tried a Q-Tip, but it apparently couldn’t reach the wax. The last bits were very small and more like thin sheets, so I gave up. I’m going to see if the ear drops can get those tiny sheets. Now, I have a camera to see if the ear drops worked!

I have to say, I’m delighted to be able to see into my ear canal and to be able to remove any wax — all by myself.

I am VERY PLEASED with this product! As someone who has struggled with Dermatillomania (aka excoriation disorder or compulsive skin picking disorder) since before I can remember, I was a little hesitant to purchase this product because I didn’t want to exacerbate my compulsive ear cleaning habits. But I took into consideration the MANY sleepless, anxious nights during which I spent hours trying to clear my ears of the “blockage” that I was convinced was there, and then cleaning my ear canals only to discover that I wasn’t picking out a blockage, but the actual skin of my inner ear canal (which made sense in retrospect, considering the relatively large amount of blood that accompanied the “blockage” aka skin). And I figured that being able to actually SEE what I was trying to clean would be beneficial in avoiding another night spent scraping all the skin out of my ear canals for fear of there being a blockage or bug inside my ear.

I LOVE that I can see everything inside my ear, that I can identify the parts of my eardrum and confirm that there is no nefarious blockage in my ears.

There are two downsides to this product, but honestly I wasn’t expecting much from an otoscope that costs under $35.

#1.) It is much easier to see your ear canal WITHOUT the spoon attachment. The spoon ends up distorting the light a bit and making it harder to see than without the attachment.

And #2.) The video quality is decent, however the photo quality could be improved. The image that I see in the video does not match the image that is saved to my photo library. But this is easily fixed by just taking a screenshot on your phone of the image you want to save.

Overall, I am very pleased that I picked this product as my introduction to self-otoscopy. I appreciate the ability to flip the camera view 180 degrees and the fact that the product comes with 4 spoons, so you have extras in case any are accidentally misplaced (which could happen easily since they are clear). The product is easy to clean and it charged quickly. And I don’t know how I missed this aspect, but there is an option to disinfect your ear with a blue UVC light!!! Which is AWESOME!!!

This purchase was the best $33 I’ve EVER spent. Now that I can see in my ear, I can’t fall into my hyper-fixation about a possible blockage or bug living in my ear and I will no longer be blindly scraping the skin and subsequent blood from my ear canals. I thoroughly enjoy being able to see inside my ear from a science/anatomy perspective and I am very pleased with the disinfecting light option.

I bought this product after a doctor in a clinic told me I should probably have my ears cleaned. I regularly use q-tips to clean my ears, but there was a buildup further back towards my eardrum. Rather than making an appointment with a clinic to have them cleaned out (during quarantine), I decided to try this out. I just used it for the first time and it was worth every penny. They seem to have integrated some sort of software that allows the scope to turn without changing the orientation of the camera inside your ear, meaning as you turn the camera and use it to scrape, your ear still stays in the same place on camera. This made it much easier to use and control. The camera and small scrapers also make it quite easy to see my eardrum and avoid pressing into it or damaging it. I found that I had a blockage of in front of my eardrum which was likely pushed back by using qtips, but now that I cleared it all out, I can even tell that my hearing was somewhat muffled before.

It is very easy to use. And the image is so clear! It’s also not as expensive as others. Although it did not come with the mouth mirror attachment, I still like it. Great buy tbh!

  12. Ria Enriquez

We absolutely love this tool. After reading a lot of positive reviews, we decided to give it a try. It was super easy to use and the video quality is excellent! We highly recommend this product to anyone who wants to clean, sanitize and look at their ears. I know that the video I am sharing is not for everyone but just wanted to share our experience.
